EAGLE NEST'S TURKEY LINES

Broad-Breasted Turkeys
Selected for muscle quality and total body CONFIRMATION, our market strains are considered the "Cadillac" of turkeys!  Known for feed efficiency, growth rate and large size, you will find these to be the finest turkeys you have ever raised!  Eagle Nest is PROUD to offer again this season our HARDY, vigorous turkeys in either white or bronze.  Our BRONZE are especially note worthy as a packer's bird because of their extremely square breast, thick thighs and short legs.  Since 1993, the Ohio State Fair GRAND and/or RESERVE Champion Market turkeys have been the Eagle Nest Broad-Breasted Whites!

Heritage Turkey Breeds

These breeds are gaining in popularity each season!

Limited Quantities & Order EARLY!

Blue Slate
Smokey blue/gray birds may carry some slight black mottling in the plumage.  Young hens at maturity will weigh about 15 pounds with the toms about 23 pounds.  Beautiful turkeys with a unique color that is sure to turn heads at the show or in the barnyard!

Bourbon Red
A rich deep mahogany color to the main body, the tail carries main white tail feathers with a mahogany band near the tail end.  The wings are highlighted with white primary and secondary flight feathers to make these turkeys breathe taking!  These birds are similar to the Blue Slates in body mass and weight.

Royal Palm
The basic plumage is white with a metallic black edging on most of the feathers that blends into a brilliant solid metallic black back pattern.  Compliment this with white tail feathers that carry a black band near the tail end.  A bit smaller strain, young hens mature at about 10 pounds with the toms weighing about 16 pounds.  These birds add flash and beauty to your flock!

Bronze
One of the first recognized breeds in 1874, deep, rich bronze plumage highlighted with dazzling cooper!  Young toms weigh in at 25 pounds, hens at 16 pounds.
